"Just like great skin doesn't need much makeup, this family-owned day spa doesn't rely on lavish acoutrements.  Founded in 1999, by a family from Patras, Greece, and hidden away on the fifth floor of a Midtown office building, the spa looks more apartment than wellness oasis.  What draws clients to its four treatment rooms from all over the world-as well as down the block-is the house specialty: skincare.  The small, European-trained staff personalizes services to suit each clients needs, and anti-aging procedures are their forte.  Signature treatments like Cool Light Laser sessions help reduce wrinkles, dark circles, acne and rosacea by increasing cellular renewal. while the Triple Oxygen Facial hydrates and invigorates skin.  On the yummier-sounding side is the Blueberry Wine Facial, a slathered-on, antioxidant cocktail of pomegranate juice, cherry extract, and pumpkin oil.  Half of the treatment rooms have two beds, making the space popular with both couples and mother and daughters (combination packages are offered on the spa's website).  Wraps, scrubs, waxing, and massage are also available, as are natural and therapeutic treatments like ear candling and lymphatic drainage, which reduces bloating and drains toxins.  Among the international skincare products the spa sells is a line of the family's own creation. "  -- Chrissy Persico

"Champagne wishes and caviar dreams?  We're not sure if Robin Leach had this four-room spa's champagne body wrap and caviar body and face treatment in mind, but it sounds good to us.  The caviar body and face treatment ($450 for four hours) is an indulgent treat, but if fish eggs arent yout thing, opt for the champagne package (also $450 for four hours), which comes with a grape-seed facial, body scrub, champagne body wrap, Swedish massage, and paraffin treatment.  The Pumpkin package and Honey Butter facial will also leave you salivating and glowing.  The spa also focuses on anti-aging treatments, such as the very popular Cold Laser that reduces fine lines and wrinkles without pain, tissue damage, and downtime associated with medical laser treatments.  A series of six  one-hour treatments at $150 each is recommended for noticeable results.  Show those crow's feet who's boss!"
